Yay Day Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Pizza with Burrata
Makes 1 pizza
If you’re a vegetarian, skip the sausage on this, it’s just as tastey. This pair is easily the most lovable with our That Girl Yay Day. I mean… who doesn’t love pizza and red wine? And burrata. You can thank us later.
1 pizza dough
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ lb. sausage, in casing
1 bunch broccoli rabe, chopped
Salt, to taste
Grated pecorino or parmesan cheese
1 ball of burrata
Preheat oven to 450° F.
Roll or stretch pizza dough out into desired shape using a bit of flour. Flour a sheet tray and lay pizza dough out.
In a sauté pan, heat olive oil up over medium heat and add sausage, breaking up with the back of a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through. Add broccoli rabe and cook, stirring, until wilted down. Season with salt.
Add sausage and broccoli rabe to pizza and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with pecorino/parmesan and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and break burrata over pizza. Enjoy!
